Our summer session welcomes all interested children from Winchester and the surrounding communities entering grades 3 through 9 to experience the excitement of theatre in a non-threatening and relaxed atmosphere. This non-audition program provides instruction in a broad spectrum of theatre education through participation in skits, monologues, improvisation, music and dance. Our program is staffed with enthusiastic high school and college-aged counselors, most of whom are graduates of past Coop productions!
The summer program meets daily from 8:30 to 12:30 at the Lincoln School auditorium. Each student will have an opportunity to perform in a Friday performance. In addition, children in sessions 1, 2 and 3 will be producing a full-scale musical production.

Set during the last years of New York City's celebrated High School for the Performing Arts in the early 1980s, Fame JR. is the bittersweet, but ultimately inspiring, story of a group of students who commit to four years of grueling artistic and academic work.
Additionally in the past we have offered an advanced summer workshop, The Conservatory, for actors entering grade 10 through college. Projects have included full-scale productions of Chicago and Romeo and Juliet, as well as original musical and dramatic material.
A $100 non-refundable deposit will be required by June 1st. For further information about participating in any of our programs, or if you are interested in working as a summer intern (entering grade 10), please contact Cathy Alexander, at (781) 729-0224, or by email at wincooptheatre@yahoo.com.
